Default Manual to Auto conversion?

I know this sounds like the stupidest thing ever, but, I might be helpin my girl and her mom put together a ef on a budget for D/D and well what can I say they cant drive manual (cant as in cant, not wont) and the shell I may be workin with is a manual.
So what would I need? new axles, tranny, ecu? Would I need additional wiring? And does it matter iwhat engine/tranny combo it is?

Any help would be appreciated

The mechanical stuff would mostly be pretty much be the reverse of an auto to manual conversion except for maybe the shifter. The wiring would be the hardest part i think..you would have to add all the wiring for the shifter/reverse lights and a single wire for the converter lockup solenoid. I would pick up an 88-89 Civic Factory Manual for the wiring because it would be simpler to wire it like that then if you followed the 90-91 automatic style wiring (with shift lockout mechanisms and what not).

Would it be possible to switch out the wiring all together? I see lots of auto to manual swaps done where people are asking for full Manual harnesses, and it'd be convenient for me to trade somebody straight up.

I wish I knew someone intending to do a Auto to Manul swap nearby, we could just trade everything straight up.

But it's not 100% of whther Im doing this or not, hence why Im trying to research it a bit. My girl and her Mom are flat broke and homless, and her Mom's been saving up for a car for a long time, and I'd like to help her get into something decent, economical, and cheap that'll last her til she gets back on her feet a bit more. The Civic I may do this to has some Tokico's with Teins on em, clean as expletive SI interior, and a Integra console, all of which I'll be taking out and selling if she gets it, so if anyone'd be interested check back with me in the future I may have some CLEAN si Interior for sale.

Their not FLAT broke, but they have nothing. They live at her gma's and have no car, no furniture, nothing. Her gma is a bitch to, their christmas present is that they were allowed to watch her cable tv and live their, even though they pay her utilities.

I mean their not completely bankrupt and dont live in boxes, but they got nothin.

Yea no ****, she's a ****** bitch the mental games she plays are sickening, she's the devil man, the devil!

On topic, IDK if this is going down, I think I could find them an Auto EF or something for around what I'd have them spending. Plus, I do think my girl atleast could learn to drive a stick, I'd just be worried about her (not the best behind the wheel)

well to be honest with you i dont think it would be that hard.im taking apart my auto crx right now and changing it to a manual and the only real diffence is the shifter. im having to add stuff for the manual conversion such as pedal assembly, clutch cable hole etc. but in your case you'll be removing stuff not adding. all i can be sure about is you may be the first to accomplish this task if you pull it off so good lucks to you and i think that would be pretty cool

The only real hard part of this swap could be wiring, strictly because there is no info on it. You'd obviously have to use an auto ECU. My recomendation would be to go to a junkyard and grab everything that if different from the manual.
