Default B18C swap in progress...which harness is which?

I have a '99 DX hatch, and just pulled the motor out of it. I've done searches on this topic, but can't find an exact answer for my question. I under stand that I need the 99-00si rear and driver's side mounts for it to bolt in correctly...but my question is with the harnesses. I have the Jdm B18. Now, the harness attached to the engine is for RHD..( obviously). There is another harness that goes from the ecu to that harness too, is that correct? so there are like 2 harnesses?
I 've been reading about it, and figure I can add wires for vtec and all that to the DX harness and then get a ECU jumper which should work, or a 99 EX or SI harness and ECU jumper and then connect it that way, or just , and this is what i'm not sure of... can i get a new harness for the ecu to the engine bay that the engine harness connects to? I'm getting so lost in all this and now i'm confused. Jerome Soh ( www.sohfast.com ) has a Wiring harness for a 94 -95 GSR for $200. Can i get that or is that for the actual engine itself?

let my know what to do about wires and stuff

thanks

so are u saying that u want to get a conversion harness? if so there are a couple of guys on this board that make those. all u need is the conversion from the OBDII to the OBDI dash harness, so that ur plugs match that of an OBDI ecu.

So you have an engine harness for the B18C1, but what year car did the B18C1 get pulled from?
In general with swaps, you can re use your engine harness that the car had before the swap, and add wiring to that harness for things such as VTEC. It might also require converting things like the distributor/alternator/fuel injectors.
Or, you can use the harness that’s on your engine, and convert your car to work with the engine harness.
Those are the two options and it just depends what year the B18C1 is off of, to determine if it’s worth using that engine harness, or just scrapping it and going with the engine harness your car had in it which would mean you stay with the OBD your car already is.
I prefer to use the engine harness that the engine has on it, and make the car work with the engine harness, but lots of people say to use the harness from the previous engine and modify it to make it work with the new engine.
