Default Is there a need for a Fuel Pressure Regulator and Gauge if Using Hondata?

I have a AEM FPR and B and M Gauge. I am yurning my 91 SI to obd1 and will be using hondata. The car will be running stock 240cc injectors and 190lph pump. I might run Itb's or a y8 manifold not sure what one yet. Do I need this or should I just sell it?

How much power? You don't need it unless you have to bump the fuel pressure-this only happens if you are making a fair amount of power.

I will be around 160whp Built head and block. On my WRX there is no need for one. All the tuning can be done by the ecu this is why I ask. I put down 390whp with just tuning the ecu. There was no need for a FPR.

If you are looking at roughly 160 whp then you don't need the AFR, however I would probably keep the gauge. The AFR is needed with a hondata (or any other tunable engine management system) when your injectors are too small and you need to bump up your fuel pressure to make up the difference. Otherwise, everything can be controlled through your hondata unit.

So how much can the stock 240cc injectors and 190lph pump hold? I can sell the FPR and Gauge for some $$ and use it for parts I will actualy need.

Stock injectors and a 190 lph pump are easily good for 180 whp. I have seen them pushed to near 200, but the injector duty cycle was getting above 90%.

Not to hijack, but what about a setup running an upgraded Walboro pump (not 255 but I don't remember)& RC 370cc injectors with a Hondata s200? Will be putting down 200whp+... Fuel pressure regulator necessary?

no.

Your Hondata will contol the proper amount of fuel required when tuned. An FPR is mostly used when you don't have tuning like Hondata/Chrome/Neptune etc. It's just a crude way of increasing fuel delivery through the injectors.
