Alright, my engine is totally shot, Ive known this for about 3 weeks now...

I thought it was valve lash, but it turns out its rod knock, so the engine is now a "I dont give a expletive, ill drive it til I have to get it towed home." kind of deal...

Well, I did want to keep it running until the end of december, becasue I cant really spend the $ for a swap just yet, not enough cash lol..

So lately ive been leaking alot of oil...the other night I noticed my oil light pop on...
I checked the oil, and I was completely dry.

I filled 'er up this morning, took it to school, noticed it was smoking a little bit. But it was becasue I dripped a bit of oil around some hot areas...

All well and fine..

I take it home today, and I popped the hood to discover oil EVERYWHERE to the left side of my engine lol.....Im thinking, what the expletive? I just spent money on oil...

I turned the car on, and revved the engine from the engine, and my Vtec solenoid is spraying oil out of it....wtf? Any quick fix? Tighten? gasket? wha?

 

buy yourself a single cam until you save enough money for a real swap....

 

vtec solenoid has a gasket yes
it could be loose
why not investigate?
