Default Wanna-be AEM..hybrid H22 intake.

Here is my wanna-be AEM intake. I have to smog my car next week and the stock box will not fit for the life of me. So I had to custom make this one. I ordered the AEM one for the 92-96 Prelude, but nolove. There was no way in HELL that one was going to fit.
Tell me what you guys think. Took me about 2 hours.

Cost was $60 to make the complete intake.

Thanks
Rob

it probably doesn't profrom at all...it probably performs about the same...maybe 1 or 2 hp difference...intakes are basically all the same imo...

good job but i have one suggestion.

you should've made the pipe longer and make it wrap around the battery(to the left of it). by doing this, the battery will act as a 'heat shield' and your filter will suck in cooler air since its seperated from the header. my 5th gen short ram does it and its a better setup.

That would probebly involve removal of that resonator and moving the battery over a couple of inches.

That intake looks just like my 3" ProSpeed intake that cost me $30.

I tried that, but the battery will not go over that much. Or it may be TOO BIG.
I am not sure if it makes more power ie. the AEm filter, but it does look good, and has all CARB #'s so I can pass smog here in Cali.

Thanks for looks guys!!!

Mor eto come...SP is next.
