HID's Changing Color?? Why? Looks Like Ass!! HELP!!
Hey, I have Phillips Ballasts with 6000k Bulbs. I've never had one issue with them, used them for around a year now. Well, I drove my car out to school where the temperature goes from the teens to mid 30's mostly. Ever since I've gotten here it's been nothing but problems. I don't know if it's due to the temperature or what but lately only one will turn on most of the time (it'll be the left or right, they both play dead games). I have to try them every once in awhile till they both go on. Now, one of them is lighting up with a purple tint, though the other one remains white/blue. It fires up white/blue but after it heats up goes to a purple tint. It also seems to fire a tad slower than the other one that works as well. Any thoughts at well will be GREATLY appreciated. It looks very homo with the color alteration. Thanks fellas.
EDIT
Now ones White and one is just solid Blue? Can't figure it out!!

i too have been having trouble with my H.I.D's i have the keixen 6k had it for a year, and lately the left one doesn't turn on every once in awhile, and the right one has some kind of yellow color to it, but you can only see it on the floor and its a little tiny spec of yellow....i think it's normal i guess...
i mean think about it, these things can't last forever

HID's are supposed to outlast halogens. I know turning them on off on off is bad for them and decreases their life span but.... I never did that, I never turned the car off with them still on, anything. Treated them like gold. I hope he bulb isn't going out yet, I don't have to funds to be replacing them every 12 months. I got a spare at home that I'll give a shot over Christmas break if I don't find anything else to try. Thanks for your replies! Glad to get some feedback, all more is greatly appreciated as well!!
