On the top dot. The bottom dot indicates 1 quart low.

Is there anything wrong with being a little above the top dot?

Like a centimeter or so, you're fine but like an inch, I would drain some out!

If it's way too much it can cause it to leak oil.

if there is too much oil, it will build up too much pressure and ur seals can blow out.

yup, can also cause you to burn more oil and smoke out of your exhaust. my dad took his mazda to the dealiship (cause he gets free oil changes) and then over filled it like a quart and a half or something like that. and he had no power and was smoking white smoke like crazy. luckily he took it back before he fucked his seals up.

oh and i leave my oil right between the two dots...and actually thats where it should be. if you take your oil to honda to get changed thats where they fill it to. thats like perfect, but there is obviously nothing wrong with filling to the top dot.
