Default new to the scene

HI ALL.

I been reading this forum for la year now, and starting to get into the bike scence. I'll be taking class with CC RIDER soon and i'll be getting my lincense. Anyway I've been going to the shop and look at my different choice and it seems like the most popular thing around here is a R6.

I am 5-6 125lb so am pretty skinny. Should i consider the R6 or look at other bikes. Is there any kewl 250CC that are produce here in the U.S?

Another question i have is what is the advantage and disadvantage of the 250 say compare to the 600cc.

Again I am just getting into the scence, and just trying to get the feel of everything..

Thanks

the 250's are easier to learn on, you'll most likely be faster than all you friend who learned on 600 and liter bikes, and they're not as expensive to buy or insure.

as for any "cool" looking 250's, well you could get a race only RS250, or a grey import nsr, rgv, tz 250 and modify it to be street legal (good luck).or maybe a nija 250....hey its cool enough for "Dark Angel" to ride..

...or hey maybe you could forget about looking cool for a while and learn first and enjoy the ride!!!

I'm sorry ..I'm just so not into this whole image thing everyone seems to be getting into motorcycles for.
