ever heard of a purpose built car?? no you say? welll let me tell you, you dont drive racecars on the street
you want a racecar, build it, dont build a racecar, then proceed to "drive it on the street low boost" what the hell is that? just sounds like you are wasting money and wasting your engine too.

I understand what your trying to say butt this not a car to drive in everyday. And i also have to drive the car to the track without getting caught by the cops.
its called a trailor..... when you blow your transmission apart you wont have to worry about paying the towtruck driver to tow your **** home...

Lol...harda$$
The burns mufflers were never really intended to muffle sound. They are designed to be light and to meet the requirements of certain classes that require mufflers.

Why? I drive mine every day and drive to the track every weekend. I dont think the OP asked your permission to drive his car on the street.
Full 3.5" Exhaust here with a dynomax bullet muffler btw.

Your gonna have a hard time trying to get the best of both worlds. Cause pretty much its not gonna happpen. You can have a large exhaust, that helps make power, and is loud. Or you can have a quiet exhaust, which is going to restrict airflow and you'll lose power. I mean its simple, do you want a street car, or a race car? You don't want to drive a racecar on the street. Like dave said, trailer/tow dolley is your best bet.
So with that being said, build a racecar and go 4" all the way. And the burns muffler is a very nice piece. Some people just don't like to pay for quality.

its gona be loud regardless when you are hammering on it
that said, at 450hp 3inch to 4 inch exhaust is usually good for 20-30hp depending on the turbo setup. so.... 4 inch ftw

The burns mufflers were never really intended to muffle sound. They are designed to be light and to meet the requirements of certain classes that require mufflers. </TD></TR></TABLE>
This is incorrect the mufflers were originally designed to offer the gereatest sound attentuation in the lightest/smallest package possiblle. The mufflers do an excellent job if you're using the proper length and size.
If you are expecting the 6" length mufflers to attenuate sound well of course they won't there simply is not near enough surface area.
12" or less to meet class requirements
17" + to help get you below the required db level.
I would recommend a 4" system only if your primary concern is not the db level
