Default car smoking need help

well my car smokes sometimes at idle and has smoked 1 time when i left a gas station but all the cylinders are firing if a ringland broke then 1 cylinder would not be working correct... since the cylinder wall would be messed up because it smoked like three times so far but if it does it doesnt do it for long only like a minute or two so i was wondering if it could be the valve that i tapped my oil pan to and the oil is going back up and sucking in oil and burning more...

do a compression test, that will at least tell u if u have a cylinder down, it could also be blown turbo seals, just do a comp test and go from there.

here is a link that i enclosed just incase u needed it

I dont think you want any car sounding like scooby.
BUt yes if one cylinder is blown it would run on 3 cylinders giving you a boxer engine sound. What color is the smoke? Are you runnign an oil restrictor on your turbo? How old is the motor? blah blah

my motor is a built piston/rod just got done about 2 weeks ago no oil restritor and the smoke is white and if a cylinder was down wouldnt clouds of smoke come out from the exhaust under high acceleration because mine doesnt only at idle and not driving or if i driver like 50 yards then its gone if it is smoking because im pretty sure running on 3 cylinders the car would smoke all the time just about

would a blown headgasket cause the smoking from the exhaust for a little while and then it goes away and when i get on it after it warms up it doesnt smoke and it smokes from the engine bay when i let sit and idle and all 4 cylinders are firing so that means no ringlands are broken and the coolant is all gone when i checked it and had to poor more in but still no compression test yet until tomorrow when i get to work so do you guys think it would be a headgasket?

sounds like maybe a turbo seal. Are you blowin whiteish gray smoke.
If the compression test and leak down down test are good, then i would say most likely a seal.

compression test went good 180 all across and about 2 days after the compression test it smoked again from the exhaust when i went to go air up my drag radials and then i checked coolant and it was empty again after i had just refilled it 2 days before and when i rev at a stop it smokes even more but then when drive no more smoke... could it be the turbo going out? also it doesn't smoke at every stop just that one time at the gas station and leaving the gas station

if you let it sit at idle for a little while will it start smoking? Sounds like turbo seals to me.

Sounds like coolant is getting into one of your cylinders.
I put a cometic low comp. head gasket in about 3-5 months ago and now my car does the same thing. At start it will smoke at idle, but then Ill let it sit and warm up for a couple of min and no more smoking, and when I get in it , no smoke neither.
I also have to add coolant about every week-week and a half, I did a pressure test and had no external coolant leaks, so it has to be leaking internally.

Oh ya I get some rough idle too at start ups

if coolant got into the cylinders then my motor would be messed up which would mean also a compression leak and then my compression test would not come out 180 all across and 1 cylinder would be down or depending on how many is filled with coolant so that cant be possible tomorrow when i get some day light i will need to check out the turbo seals

IT Has To Be Your HeadGasket. My Car Did The Samething Before I Had it Rebuild. Is It Hard To Start? Are Your Spark Plugs Still Good?
