I have a gringind noise in my wiper motor (drivers side). It's not the blade, because I can lift the blades OFF of the windshield (up position) and the noise does not go away. Also it's a loud gringind noise. (It's a new car and today was the first day I used the wipers.)

What should I expect at the dealership?
How difficult is it to replace a wiper motor?
Easy to get to or should I expect 2 days at the dealership while they take apart the dash?
Has anyone seen this issue before?

Free coffee, loaner car if you need it, and free parts and labor. Can't be beat.

 

one day is the max they should need your car, dont let them keep it longer than that. However they may have to order that part.. not a typical replacement.
