No ..
If you take the secondaries away, you would Lose power, they're Good for a fairly stock engine.
Getting an intake for the gsr is not a good idea unless you're going to be making a lot more power then stock,
The dualrunner intake manifold is perfectly fine for most things,
And just because you'd get a couple boltons,
doesn't mean you'd need an different intake manifold either.

answer to ur second question yes that is a gsR manifold, i never really understood why ppl here hate on it. personally i think it's way fun how you can just be cruisin one minute "silently" and the next open that beast up. I especially love hearing the two clicks between that 1000rpm's when the dual intake sys just opens

Yes i do have a CEL and no i cannot pull it. My friend took it to his shop which he works at goodyear and they couldnt find out to pull the code. . . . I assumed it was a OBDII and thought it would be right around the ecu or under the glove but they couldnt find it. . . . so if it is a OBDI how do i pull the code? or find out if its OBDI or OBDII.

Why would a 90-93 integra which is either OBD 0 or OBD I have a connector on the inside of the car like the 96+s? Either way, look at the FAQ thread at the top of the integra forum and it will tell you all about it....first post as I recall. The CEL will tell you your problem.

its a 91 integra but has a 98 b18c with ecu so i assumed it would be OBDII no? The person that bought it said its from Japan so it must be SiR
i guess you solved your Q's well...almost..but take a little time in cleaning your engine dude, i could just imagine your filters being dirty
it only takes 10 minutes
as for your motor lagging, i would take it to mechanic..since i dont think you know what you are doing

If you use OBD0(1 white plug and 2 balck plugs) ecu you can look at the little circle window on the ecu and that tells you the code. And if you use OBD1/2(3 gray plugs) you can find a jumper plug underneath the rightside of glove box and just bridge 2 wires together and you can read the code on your CEL bulb .
ok well lets see what we can work out here 1st you have an obd-0 integra and are running a obd-2 motor no big deal right, but on the gsr motor there is a plug for a vac. box under the intake manifold that tells when to send vac. to open the secondary butterflys. but there was never a obd-0 gsr so no ecu you have is sending that signal to the motor that is prob. why the car runs like crap. the right way to do this swap is to switch the to obd-1 or use an aftermarket intake manifold. The only other way to do it is to fix them so they will stay open at all times. Hope this helps and if anyone thinks i said something untrue please let me know.

most likely its still obd0 and your running an obd0 vtec ecu...
who did your swap??? ask them
what ecu are you running???
go to g2ic.com and look at the engine swap guide

could the engine problem be as simple as a sticking throttle cable/body?
it reminds me of my minibike before i replaced the throttle cable and lubed it up.

That's what I was thinking also. I too had the same problem and it turned out that was the problem.

Ok today i pulled the CEL and it says 7 - Throttle Angle. . . . ???? and 17 - vehicle speed sensor.
Would those be causing the motor lag? and what the hell do they mean by throttle angle?? is it positions wrong or to tight or lose??
Since its at Goodyear right now im going to ask them to check out the MAP sensor.
Thanks for the help guys. I really apreciate it

code 7 is TPS, most likely is not plugged in right or it may need to be calibrated. It's located on the back of the throttle body near the firewall. and yes it will run like **** with that code.

Exactly what skunked said, the TPS might also need to be replaced, its not likely a calibration issue since the TPS on the newer GSR engine (like you have) is semi-riveted in place. It could be bad wiring or the MAP and TPS plugs are hooked up backwards. Also, after looking at your engine bay again, you have no air filter. Normally I wouldnt stress all that much, but look at your engine bay.....just imagine how much dirt has been sucked into your engine.

and the valve cover vent is open.
