SO far these are the new parts I have picked up All new ball joints, uppercontrol arms, inner and outer tierod ends, brake pads and rotors, axles, cluth kit with bearings and flywheel.I was just wondering what else should i change out when i got the car all apart. Money aint a thing I just want my car driving like new

I do plan on an engine swap but not until spring. I plan on going with the k24 then over winter Ill start working on the turbo setup and getting a k20 head. I forgot to say i did stick in some new wires and plugs and for oil im using amsoil same for the fileters oil and air. Right now this is a daily driver work car. but soon as spring time comes around im about to get a hatchback shell for work car and stick the d16a6 in it.

did you buy lock washers and dust boots and a rack end bushing since you're changing the inner/outer tie rods?
i'd check the shift linkage too. might as well replace the brake fluid. maybe replace or rebuild the calipers. regrease the steering rack and u joints.

Make sure you get yourself a very nice alignment after all is said and done.

all your bushings on the lower control arms need replacing. The big ol trailing arm bushings should be replaced too.

Its an expensive pain since you'd need to get them pressed (its possible without, but very difficult), but once its done, its done and you can get a proper alignment.

also timing belt wp/ tensioner. they usually get replaced every 70-80,000 so you are about due for your 2nd timing belt on that motor. pray that someone changed it at least once already if not you have a time bomb on your hands

Yeah I know what u mean. This car used to shake after hitting 60mph but I went out and got some BF Goodrich traction T/A tires mounted on the stock si rims And it never did it again.

The bushings shouldnt be to hard for me because I can use the press at my work.
any suggestions on bushings? Rubber Or polyurethane?

and jimmy thats a good idea about timing belt. I havent even looked it yet and have hear they go out around 90,000 or so. Ill have to add that to the list of things along with a new water pump.

My opinion on bushings is go for the rubber ones on all the lower control arms, and the less-expensive poly is good for the uppers (though they do squeak when its cold out).

do you expect us to believe that a person who needs to ask a routine maintenance question such as you asked, has the mechanical knowhow to build a k24/k20 frankenstien turbo motor AND install it into an EF chassis. race on, bench racer!!!!

there always as to be a jackass....But its cool you can think what you want. Though I am new to hondas I am not new to cars. Here is a picture of my real "bench racer" Its a 1973 chevy nova with a 1966 vette 327 balanced and blue printed it was dyno tested at 475 hp with the 2-4 setup but i took it off when I got the car painted cuzz I wanned to rock the stock hood so I dont really know the true hp anymore...anyways I dont plan on having a k24/20 turbo beast overnight im only hoping to get the k24 in over summer then having all winter to think about the turbo setup and If i want the k24 head. I really dont think that the k24 will be that much harder then some of the stuff my dad and I have done in the past I got the money tools and there is alot of info on this swap all over then internet.

haters? hmm, yea i hate reading bench racing threads. the proverbial "yea im gonna tick this in that and then boost it blah blah blah"

no one asked you about your nova, and im pretty sure no one cares about your 327 nova. would you like a cookie?

just bench racers supporting other bench racers. thats all.

Guy what are u talking about? IF you read my first post you will see that I was asking what other OEM parts to change out while i have the front end apart.

And I didnt post my nova because I thought anyone cared about it I posted it to show you that I race in buckets not on the bench.

and If you could plz dislodge the proverbial stick that is up your *** or get out of my thread......Im only looking for insightful information not ur flaming *** BS

just for the hell of it, you might as well do the rear bushings as well.. but me, i would go black polyurethane.. with the impregnated graphite.. yes the red sqweak when its cold out.

Find the thread on doing the best big brake upgrade (using various OEM parts) that no one ever told you about... If you're planning on going faster you may as well plan on stopping too...
