will b16a axles work with a 97 ls tranny??

It depends what year the B16 is from. The older JDM B16s (and B16s from JDM 90-93 integras) have a different intermediate shaft connection (the half shaft is a female and the axle is a male on the older ones and vice versa for your LS). Also the JDM Type Rs have larger axles that wont fit in a US spec hub. Thus, not all b-series are the same....atleast not when you bring jap spec parts into it.
