i've got around 3,500 and i'm wondering what everyone thinks the best engine swap would be for my 92 dx hatch. i'de prefer it be a direct bolt in, but i'm open to anything right now

you cant do ethire for 3500 (maybe a crvtec but a half assed one)

just do a b18c swap.

 

i would put a type r motor in it get a whole jdm itr change over cause you will get the jdm 4-1 header, the ecu the type r tranny with lsd the type r cams and al the good stuff with a great stock reliable motor

if you do crvtec then the r/s ratio is really bad like 1.54 for ls vetc and it is somthign like 1.49 for crvtec or somthing. considering the best r/s ratio is 1.75 the b16a is a whoping 1.74 three cheers for the best motor ever anyway the b18c1-c5-c have a 1.58 so definetly go with a stock motor that is a stock honda motor casue hondas are made for HP not tourqe they make power through reving not low end power if you want low end get a gas guzzling v8
