getting ready to turbo...is a missing link needed to pass emissions and will it help the performance of the turbo kit as a whole? thanks

what are you using for management? if it is an FMU only, without a chip or any kind of management, you will need the missing link.

well i was actually just posting in another topic about fmu/fuel pump/afc hack. i was planning on just running an fmu and upgraded fuel pump for 8-10 psi, but i was told i should run larger injectors and do the AFC hack if i wanted to run an fmu. Would running just the fmu, fuel pump, and missing link be suitable for 8-10 psi?

We've run 12:1 FMU, stock injectors, Walbro 255LPH HP, and missing link with 6-8 lbs boost with great success. Running higher than 8 psi is risky, and we put everything on engine management after that.

i dont understand though, wouldnt the fmu dump too much fuel in at low rpm, making you lose power?

To my understanding, the FMU doesn't add fuel pressure when in vacuum.

And since nobody else have said it yet:
Chip your ECU for Uberdata/Crome/Whatever and get it tuned on a dyno! Your ringlands will thank you.

yea but i thought once the fmu does add fuel it adds it at one rate over the entire rpm band...that doesnt seem very efficient
