Default Is it possible to change the point at where the clutch engages?

My friend was telling me that he thinks there is a way to change at what point of the clutch pedal travel the clutch engages in. My stock clutch (it's not worn or anything) starts to grip when the pedal is almost all the way out. Is there anyway to adjust this so it starts gripping sooner? or would this be an effect from an aftermarket clutch?

thanks

Evan

I'm pretty sure there is. My mechanic friend told me that there should be a little nut or bolt (or something of that nature) underneath the dash by the pedal. I guess you can adjust it to your likeing. Just be sure that your in an empty parking lot so you have plenty of room for trial and error. What does everyone else think?

hey thanks alot matt, I really appreciate it. that was what my thoughts were, but 1.) can't afford a helms right now (still desperately trying to find a job) and 2.) I don't want to mess up my car by adjusting little misc. bolts and stuff.

Yea, I didn't mean to make it sound that I was endorsing that you start messing around w/ random bolts, rather that it is possible and thats roughly how it goes. I would strongly suggest a helms! Good Luck
