Car should be tuned to around 350whp this weekend and just wanted to see if anyone has ran that much power on a set of 13x9x22 slicks.

22's u'll be shiftin into 5th gear. 23's would be better. but if u have them arelady and rev it out higher, try that

 

i had that set up you really need to go bigger. you will cross the line in 5th

i was thinking more along the lines of 24.5"...especially with that tranny.

350 all motor hes gonna need some 28" slicks.

 

if your turbo, you need the 24.5's. i was making the same whp that you plan to make, and i was still spinning the 24.5's, i didnt get much seat time, so didnt mess around with tire pressure that much, but as far as i got, i was only spinning off the line of course. i was launching around 7500 rpm, b16 tranny, 14 psi of boost. no 2step. 24.5's for 350 whp fi setup is perfect.

after reading the post below from exospeed, i figured i should add that i was shifting at 8500 rpm, going through the trap in fourth gear around 8250

you can still get away with the 23" but with a rev limit under 9K and a b16 tranny, that combination it is best to use the 24.5" so you're not having to get into 5th gear.

 

Its a turbo car.

 

24.5 FTW, u will be going into 5th with anything smaller, unless u get your redline extended. i use 24.5 and im in 4th by the time i finish the quarter, with a b16 trans

350 whp isnt enough to spin em...

trust me, i was in the same exact boat.

22x9's even with a shift to 5th netted me faster et's.

22" 11.6@117mph (5th gear shift)
23" 11.7@120mph (didnt get to play with these much but i coulda gone faster than the 22's)
24.5" 11.9@124mph

i know 363whp is enough to spin 24.5's

and i know that roughly 300WHP is enough to spin 24.5"s.
