Default A guess of hp #'s with my new mods (bolt on's) in my GSR

I just ordered skunk2 cat back (with test pipe ) ,eldabrock(spell?) 2 part header, skunk 2intake manifold, and a aem v2 cold air. what kind of # do you think I will gain from this. Also the car is all stock besides that.

actually, the honest answer would be to go the dyno and find out. there are too many variables to know how much horsepower those modifications will produce on his motor.

for 1200 i would of looked into a supercharger..

Engines make HP by %. so if you are making 100 hp, and intake not gonna give you much. If you making 200 hp intake will give you more power. You cant expect 75hp out of a gsr from simple bolt ons. SOME turbo kits and superchargers dont make that power

Ya? without tuning I'd say even 15 is wishful thinking with full bolt ons

You should have done more research and bought a turbo.

since you just bought all of that, it is pointless to go turbo now.

basically all you can do now is build the engine, maybe nitrous. be sure to check out the all motor forum.

Well if we're discussing horsepower of an engine we would be talking WHP..Most bolt on GSR's I've seen on the dyno run in around 155 ish when they start somewhere in the mid 140's (of course this isnt a rule laid in stone for all engines, because they are all different in some regards)

*This is without tuning (I've seen some nice well thought out bolt on setups with good tuning land in the 160 range)

I would have went turbo but I am "that guy" that if I get beat I would just go and turn up the boost! But of that 1200 I needed a new clutch and fly so alot of that $ went 2 that and that v2 will sell quick used if later I decide to go turbo and I can still use the catback and the skunk 2 intake mani so the only thing I will really lose on is the header and the v2

wow, that must suck.. well if thats the case with bolt-ons, what would u first buy if u were on a tight budget? internals first? or just stick with bolt-ons and slowly move ur way up?

obviously either way, u would need to tune after every mod (bolt-ons or internals) u buy for the car but which one would be most efficient, in terms of cost and improvement after tuning?

How much do you think I will gain with those mods and a tune ? and to be honest I might throw in a 50 shot and go get it tuned

that skunk2 wont benefit you without internal work.

save the nos for later, and get cams instead.

tune after that to get max benefit

No way, maybe 10 hp. You seriously got ripped off of your $1000+ dollars. You could've saved another grand and been making 250 whp with turbo.

guys, this isnt a jet engine. If you put an intake on an integra, you dont have to get it tuned.

So what are you saying? that if i put I/H/E on my integra i have to go get my fuel maps redone??

intake mani is the reason i said anything about a tune. single stage mani and 2 stage mani are a world of difference when it comes to ecu proggies
