Default D15 turbo questions?

these question would be for a D15 with better pistons and rods, a good intercooler and water cooled turbo.

How much boost can the cylinder walls hold up to? what cams would be good to use for a application lik this? what fuel system modification would be good for this application?

Water are your power goals? Also I would probably use just an oil cooled turbo. That's what I have on my D16.

I have power goal of 350-400 at crank and try to get at least 300 to the wheels.

I have SRP pistons + Eagle Rods and Precision SC50 turbo and Precision intercooler and it works fine for those goals. I'm acutally going for more soon on race gas.

Assuming you don't mean d15b, then the delta cams would be good for a non-vtec head, otherwise a sohc vtec head works great with the zex 59300 (I think thats the larger ver.).

A good turbo would be any straigh-T3 version (50 or 60 trim would be the best), .48AR exhaust, stage 1 exhaust - assuming its the zex cam and a 1.6L sohc vtec motor/head. Otherwise with a 1.5L non-vtec head you'd need an s-trim (54trim) t3/t04B or a 50trim t3/t04E turbo, both with .48AR exhaust - stage 1 or 3.

Cheap, strong internals would be vitara pistons and tuner toyz rods with ACL bearings, mixed with OEM's as needed.

Strong, proven reliable internals would be wiseco/arias/cp pistons and eagle rods with OEM bearings.

Depending on the turbo, the sleeves can handle a lot of power - more than a handful here have pushed 400whp on OEM sleeves. As long as the tuner knows D-series motors and isn't that agressive with the tune. Many tuners go by MBT power, and never check for detonation - which can lead to big problems if any smaller ones already exist.

Don't pay ridiculous money on building a D15 when it will be way more expensive than a D16 and have less potential. Get a D16 block for $100 and build that if you must build something. Otherwise just turbo the stock block and get some experience which it sounds like you need.
