help with buying a bike
I'm the worst beginner EVER! I pretty much always pay too much for stuff. The first shop i called here in Nebraska has 10 sport bikes on the floor. yay!!! one of them is a 04 GSXR 600. No more 1000s for me at least for now. i haven't seen the bike yet but he said its got 3000miles, black and asking is $6K. I looked up on nada and average value is $5570. When i walk in there tomorrow assuming I want this bike and its in great shape, what should i offer them? thanks

yup, tell them they take 5500 now or take 5k in the spring their choice.
it never hurts to lowball.

I'd keep looking private party if I were you. It's a common bike, older model, etc. and you won't have to pay taxes and other misc. fees. People are ususally more eager to sell and a lot easier to work with.
I suppose the only + to dealers are if you want financing, which I am assuming is why you went there in the first place.

I went there cuz im having trouble finding a bike for sale period! the only 2 i have found in the past month (private) are a 1980 POS and a 2003 TL1000 for $7900 and the guy will not go any lower cuz he owes a lot of money on it.
As far as the temp, i was add to the fire. cold being no one wants to ride right now let alone buy a bike. they need the sale!
