Default LS/VTEC Question

I was wondering which piston to use for my set up. I have a set of ITR(P73oo) and a set of P30's. Which of these would be better for my LS block, P72 head with ITR cams and valvetrain. I tried useing the compression calcualtor but with inputing the pistons(either one of them)it said ny compression would be like 12.5:1 and I think that might be alittle more than I want. Oh yea I have a ls rods and gsr rods. How big a diffrence is there in the 2.

Depends on what compression you want. If its a daily driver and you use pump gas I'd personally would do USDM ITRs P73A0 just b/c its around the 11.9:1 area.

As for the rods, the difference is about 1mm more on GSR rods, but correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you can't put LS rods onto a GSR crank and vice versa?

Well I got both cranks as well. I was kinda leaning towards the LS rods and ls crank. I only have the JDM ITR pistons and JDM B16 pistons. It will not be a daily driver. Its going in a 90 CRX SI. I just want something with a lil more pep than my DOHC ZC that is in there now. I have done plenty of motor swaps, but to be honest this is my first motor build. So I guess I'm a noob .

Well I'd go for the LS crank/rods because more stroke. And put in the P73s because they yield more compression and also have a flatter dome IIRC.

This setup should have a lot more than a "little pep" over a ZC lol
