well your limitation isnt going to be the turbo, but its going to be your stock block, which I would say isnt safe after about 300whp.

I would say about 300-340whp to be safe. If you use double headgasket and ARP headstuds, you could make high 300"s.

The turbo it's self can handle 450-500 hp with a properly tuned engine, but I agree that in your case 300ish is about where I would stop with your goal until you upgrade the engine..........

ok cool thanks. upgrading as in sleeving? , but i heard with good lower compresion pistons and a set of good rods and arp rod bolts head studs should be good enough for 400 hp with a good tune? so in that case why would people sleeve the block when you could get 400-500 hp on stock sleeves?

The gen consensus is that 400 whp is the upper limit on a b-series block with stock sleeves and forged internals. Anything more and you definately want to sleeve. Don't be fooled by the high numbers people make on race gas. Decide what gas you will be using and what components your engine will contain and then you will have a good idea as to your max hp level.

BTW - Most of the b-series f/i lower ends in here come in 3 varieties.....
1) Stock. Good to ~300whp on pump.
2) Forged internals (rods and pistons). Good to ~400whp on pump.
3) Forged internals and aftermarket forged sleeves. Who knows.....people do more and more crazy **** with these little engines everyday. GL.
