Default License Plate

I do not know what portion of this web board to put this in because i looked in appearance and cosmetics and everything seemed out of place from my topic. My question is about the license plate bracket...to be honest i keep ******* getting pulled over when im not doing **** at all....the reason? no front license plate...im sorry but im not going to drill in my jdm bumper, so sad so bad. I was on takakaira.com one day and found a license plate bracket that folds back after i think 30km/h ? Is there any other ones out there? Ive tried ebay....ive tried google and ive looked through tons of pages on takakaira and couldnt find ANYTHING...please help me. If you look in the pics below you can see that i cant just simple zip tie my front license plate on the center portion of my bumper...

on the ******* cops that continously pull me over for this bullshit...im sorry im not driving a ******* corvette...i ask them what about corvettes as well and all i get is the usual run around bullshit like "we get them too..." not once have i ******* seen a pig pull a corvette over or any other pricey car that has no front license plate...******* haters. Ive gotten a ticket once already for no front license plate and that ticket i think ran me 140-160 i honestly cant remember...and to argue the ticket would have just costed the same...which is ******ry at its best. Im at a loss loss situation....i cant even count on both hands on how many times ive gotten pulled over for no front license plate and to be honest it really agitates me because im a good guy, no criminal **** NOTHING...my record is clean..not even speeding tickets on my record, completely ******* straight, and **** like this is what makes some people turn into criminals when they are constantly fucked with....sorry about the ranting **** lol, its an issue that i get touchy with because im tired of being profiled...

I have the same issue and have been pulled over many-a-time b/c of it. I haven't heard of any solutions where you do not need to drill into your bumper...sorry, dude.

I used to drive my brother-in-law's Z06 on occasion, and I was pulled over 3 different times for no front plate. You may not see them get pulled over, but trust me, they do.

Don't blame the cops for the fact that Texas laws require a front plate. If they wanted to harass you, they'd be searching your car each time for drugs and weapons. Just be glad you don't live in Cali... You'd have a lot more tickets than just ones for your front plate.

true that one on the tickets part...heard i would get tickets for being low as hell on more than one occasion...eh its a failing situation...we tried to get a law passed where we dont need a front license plate but the old ***** in office think its wise to keep it...but yeah ill check that section out for the brackets

thats alot for a license plate ticket. Here is sf its only $10 and you can get a cop to sign it off. Its probably the stupidest ticket you can get. If you dont want drill holes in your bumper because it looks ugly, why not just get a door hinge and drill under your bumper so if you ever take it off you cant even tell there was holes

most front bumpers from honda have either 1, 2 or 3 holes, for 10mm screws.... the brackets for license plates usually look like a "v".
EXccord, man.... I feel you brother, I understand what is like to get pulled over for something that everyone does (or doesn't have), and that **** me off too!!!
So anyway, look at the bumper opening (the black part), and you should find two openings for the screws. I know that all 6th generation accords, and all civics , del sols and odysseys have, so the 5th gen accord should not be different, specially because my bumper has it too!
peace ....

I feel your pain. Looks like you will have to bite the bullet on this, or keep paying tickets.

Have you ever thought of moving to Louisiana? There is no front plate required, and you can get away with just about any mod. Of course this means you see a lot of cars on the streets that shouldn't be (unsafe junk). I guess you have to take the bad with the good.

well here is the whole deal..the one i seen on takakaira, a site that i guess teh company is based in japan..they state that their license plate bracket folds back afte rlike 30km/h which is cool...basically after that your license plate isnt visible...anyhow for the past 2 years my license plate has been in my windshield and ive seen no problem with it except for maybe a few cops whom have...which i find completely retarded. The thought of registering my car into another state such as tennessee for example whom have no front license plate if i recall....has crossed my mind but i will have to pay vehicle tax all over again and thats pretty shitty. To be honest, yeah the whole license plate deal is ******* retarded, i dont know why texas is gay like this...hell man, check this scenario out.

Im driving home from work on this highway...this highway comes open to the right side basically...so its 3 lanes then a grass side then the side road....traffic was haulted and brought down to 2 lanes since they were working on the lanes a quarter mile down the road. My windows are down, im not speeding...NOTHING. So this S.U.V on the right of me decides, "oh hey expletive this bullshit im going over the side of the highway..expletive it" so he goes over the grass side then onto the side road...mind you, this is illegal in texas...so its like a $140 ticket. This ******* pig comes up beside me...right when this dude crosses over into the side...this ******* ***** pulls ME over for nothing...ends up, this ****** asks me to roll my window up and im like dude, didnt you ******* see that truck go over the grass side? and then he asks me to step outside of the vehicle as if im some ******* criminal or causing problems...I CAME OFF OF WORK FOR ***** SAKE.... Anyhow, i end up getting a ticket for window tint of having 2% all around...so ******* what, i guess gangstuh's rollin' aroundi n their ******* escelades on 22's on dark *** tint dont get pulled over cause its profiling right? so i tell my pops the scenario....when im at work my pops hits up the police station when he got off work since i work night shift and **** and he was asking them...so when did your officers get ASE certified. Obviously you know cops giving that typical response, "excuse me?" anyhow needless to say...texas is a shitty place to live when it comes next to laws, compared to california perse

if you drive an import in texas your a target.

I just keep my mods slilent when cops are around, aem sri and a dynomax super turbo are not even autoable during costing, even at times i have seen cops make a 'U' turn and follow me for blocks waiting for me to mess up.

only reasons we have front plates in texas is for the cops to run our plates before we get stop for speeding. Only thing I can tell you is put that car away and make it a show car, or suck it up and make some holes in that bumper.

None of my cars run a front plate.
I did get pulled over once about 3 years ago. No big deal, just pay the ticket say"f*ck it" and keep driving without.

(those ITRs look sharp on there BTW)

I thought it was illegal to even put your license plate on the left or right side of your bumper, it has to be in the center? I guess thats only California. Nice find though lxaccord.

thanks for the comments guys. Yeah ive thoguht about that license plate relocater and all but to be honest with the 5th gen years, it blocks the bumper signal and well..thats pretty shitty..id rather just suck it up with no front license plate...but im going to be on the look out still for that license plate bracket that i was talking about from takakaira.com. Ill post it up on here if i can find it again, i think it was designed for the skylines for the intercooler section....ill post a new thread whenenver i do find it.

Texas law is pretty specific in that the license plate has to be mounted at the very front of the car. You could still get a ticket for having it on the dashboard. Besides, I wouldn't want my license plate sitting on my dash if I happened to get into a wreck....

man i really cant stand cops somtimes they seem to bother people for the stupid crap. the cops here on Long Island are horrible, i've got pulled over a few times cause i had my front plates in my dash. i wish New York state was like those other states that just give you ONE plate that goes in the BACK. but there is a really cool license plate relocator that i've stumbled over a few weeks ago from Password:JDM. here is the link to it.

http://passwordjdm.com/product...D=451

you can relocate your plate to the left. before the left directional light, cause to far can cover the left directional light. you can mount it to the LIP you have their but then you will have to deal with the fact that there are screw holes in em now.

good luck man.

^^^ Already been mentioned and shot down

- I have high doubts a novelty Euro plate would work
- the law says he can't have it inside, it needs to be in the front

your best bet probably would be to fab something up and bolt it to the actual bumper and not the bumper cover? have it snake down to the grill area and then bolt onto it

I don't know why everyone wants to bitch about the cops... If they stopped giving tickets for front plates, people would just start bitching about something else. Just let them do their jobs. If you don't want a ticket, don't break the law... It's pretty simple.
