Default How far can you grind down a caliper?

hey im trying to put on VX wheels onto my civic 96 EX. i know they dont fit, at all. But these rims are MINT and i want em on bad.

I know ill have to grind down the caliper, but how much can I grind? the metal is thick, or is there thinner brakes i can buy? Ill also be using wheel spacers, but how thick can you go before the hub/wheel studs and wheel bearing get affected? thanks!

Where exactly do you have to grind? If it's much I wouldn't even think of doing it.

i wouldn't run 13's on a EJ8. I'd only run 13's on a crx, but thats just my opinion. worst comes to worst i believe you can down grade to dx/cx calipers. correct me if i'm wrong anybody. Though i wouldn't want to downgrade on a brake setup which first isn't a good one at all, especially running those rear drums. i know i have a EJ8 and just did a rear disc conversion with teg front calipers.

He means hit up me, thats my AIM name, not my name on here. And no, don't put 13s on a 96-00 Civic, thats just way too small, there are a million reasons not to.

Integras will take 14" wheels, in fact doesnt the RS come stock with 14s? They will fit stock Civic 14" steelies.

You mean how far can you grind the caliper BRACKET. I heard a few mm, there was a thread on it before, but DON'T put 13s on an EK. Its not good for performance in more than one aspect, and getting like 16s with good, low profile tires, is going to help your brakes a LOT, since tires are the limiting factor.

Wait do you mean wheel weights? I thought only aftermarket tuner wheels without a lip (like mine) used stick on weights?
