Your in the wrong forum. Try asking in the prelude forum as I'm sure they would know.

Prelude Type S has 220hp coming from different Pistons, Cams and a slightly different ECU. Ashame we get left out of the better things here!

no, the Prelude type S is the top of the line JDM Lude (H22).

the SH has ATTS, along with a few minor visual differences and additional features, the SH has the H22A4.

The TypeS H22a engine has even more significant changes than that... It has a different head casting with a revised roof on the combustion chamber. The valve angles are changed to 45 degrees vs 60 degree on a "regular" H22a head. (This is why TypeS cams tend to disintegrate when used in US heads.) Cams, valve springs, retainers, pistons, and supposedly rods too are different. The ECU is different. The head receives a mild port and polish job by hand (similar to the TypeR B18c). The block casting is the same as the US TypeSH block. The stamping on the TypeS H22a block is "H22A" just like all other "regular" H22As. The tranny is the same as the US TypeSH with ATTS integrated. The gearing is the same.

The Prelude Type S also has several structural reinforcements to the unibody itself that normal Preludes do not have (again similar to the ITR). It also has a upper strut tower bar standard. It has no moonroof and no radio in addition to other weight savings. It comes standard with a front chin spoiler, rear decklid spoiler, and body-keyed rocker trim.

The H22A TypeS pistons have 11:1 compression with a rather large dome on top. They have the same bore and stroke as a "regular" H22a, 87mm x 90.7mm... No way in heck that's gonna fit in a B series motor if that was what you were getting at...

doesn't sound like you're very sure of yourself there...I have also not heard of a 240 HP H22. If you can provide some links or something that would probably help.

could he be thinking of the Sir? I think it's the lesser JDM version of the Prelude. As far as I have always heard and read the Type S is King.

No need to get angry, I'm just saying there will be alot of people really surpised if you can actually find this motor.

The 2.3L Accord DOHC VTEC engine is rare...but it's not 240hp...
