Hondata ??? What are you guys doing about warr. issues?? buying new ecu's?

Default Hondata ??? What are you guys doing about warr. issues?? buying new ecu's?

Like it says guys are you buying new ECU's and getting the hondata relash on them or just saying **** on the warr.????? Thanks

dealer doesnt check the ecu unless you ask them too.

You just can't swap ECU's. Keys need to be recoded every time you swap the ECU. I have spare and a reflash in my car.

and then there is the part where the ECU reflash doesnt void your warrenty untill you bounce a piston off the top of your engine at 10K.

The ecu runs the whole engine, if anything goes wrong they could play it off as ECU malfunction due to modification. Since they hook it up to the HDS for 90% of everything they do to it, i think they would notice. I just said screw the hondata flash, ima just wait til i get my turbo kit.

Or i-pro and the turbo. Hondata is going to come out with different options later for the Civic Si 06.

Another thought is ajperformance has a special reflash but you must have their turbo to get it.

I always hear that hondata is associated with honda in general for years i doubt they would void your warrenty for using a hondata product unless you abused it they wouldnt set the rpm higher if it wasent safe.

Where did you get a extra ECU. and how do you reflash it and program the keys?
