HUB replacement?
i think my hub is bad. i constantly hear this noise like my rotors are scraping the brake pads when i accelerate(or when not breaking). i dont have the rotor screws in place cause the previous owner broke them off and all thats left are nubs set inside the hub. anyhow, didnt think that was the issue seeing as the drivers side is the same way and not making any noise.
2 Questions:
1. if the hub is lose will the bearing have gone bad(the hub doesnt come out but theres some slight vertical play)?
2. Can anyone recommend a cheap place to buy a new hub and bearing? i went to partstrain.com and they want $140+ for the rear hub and dont sell the front ones that i need

Those little screws only hold the rotor on while you have the caliper off. They're not needed. As far as the noise only when not braking .... how are your brake pads?
im almost positive the breaks are fine. ill pull the wheel off tomorroww but i felt the rotor and it still feels pretty smooth or no rougher than it when i first began working on the car. anyway no ones said anything about a place to get a new hub for cheap so i guess ill hit up the J-Yard and rip the whole spindle tomorrow if i can
