good way to get paint scuff off car?

Default good way to get paint scuff off car?

some idiot parked near me at work and scuffed my passenger's side door with white paint, its not bad but need a good buffing compound as I will be removing it by hand.

that happend to me and all polishing compound did is remove my clearcoat in the area and further scratch my car.

try rubbing compound
and follow with wax

Get some Meguiars Scratch-X and give that a try. It's a mild polishing compound and will probably take several passes to make much difference, but you'd have a hard time damaging the paint with it.

I've used scratch -X and personally i think it sucks... try a light cutting compound and if that doesnt work use a higher intesity cut ...

heres the mild compound (tan bottle) that works best when applied w/ a buffer...

the rubbing compound worked great, I used 3m rubbing compound and then waxed with meguirs cleaner wax thanks
