91' Accord climate control problems--- please respond!
Hi,
About a month or two ago I noticed that my climate control (heat namely, as my AC doesn't work) has been blowing out hot air with less and less intensity. Probably every-other time I try to start it, it doesn't work, so I turn it on the lowest speed and give the motor (beneath the glovebox) a good wack with my maglight and it kick-starts it.
As winter just hit heavily last week, I know that I will only be using my heat more and more, and that eventually the motor is just going to quit, so here are my questions:
- Does this in fact sound like the motor is going bad? It is the only component I could think of, and considering this is a 91' Accord, I could understand if the motor's brushes are wearing out.
- How difficult is it to replace? I'm fairly enginuitive when I have to be. (Last summer I diagnosed and replaced the ECM after my car and everything in it abruptly shut off while driving down the road)
- Is there anyplace to get a replacement, preferrably new, for less that $125 as I have seen online? I am a student and, of course, am on a tight budget.
- Any advice from anyone that has experienced this problem and has replaced this component themselves?
Thanks a lot everybody!

U can go to the junkyard and get one. If they have a u pull it yard go get it yourself its much cheaper. It shouldn't be more then 40 bucks at any yard, and if you search on here you will find the directions on removal and installation. Make sure you test it before putting it in.
