when i try to start my car, I have to turn my key at least 12 times to get the car to start, but this never happened until a friend and i were going at it, could me and my friend racing lead to a dead starter? Any help would be appreciated

 

Check the grounds on the starter.

 

Hey I know i may sound ike a noob, but where are the grounds, any pictures of diagrams would help

 

Do you know where the starter is?

 

Grab the battery cables and try to move them back and forth. If they move, then they need to be tightened. Also find your starter, and try to move the connections on it. Be sure to check the top clip connection under the rubber boot.
