car revvs up to 6k then redlines down ahhhh!!!!help me and my 2000 si!!!!!
hey people and thanks for looking ...okay to make a long story short i was redlight racing with some guy at stoplight when all of a sudden car revved to 6k and then went down to about 5.5k???
--car has no mods ...
--im only running a short ram and that's all
-- i have no clue as to what it could be!!!!
--check engine light not on either!!!-changed most all fluids and oils ???im puzzled pleases help!!

yes...my brother is driving it right now he has more experience..and he came back and said still same and i think it may be tranny??
but it is as smooth as butter when shifting!!plz people help....i don't wanna be bore on weekend trying to find out so plz fellow members help!!

---what i mean is when i give it gas it redlines at 6,000 rpm and needle starts to vibrate as if hitting redline, as it should be doing at 8,200rpm not 6,000rpm then if i stay on it too long it will just go down to 5,500-5,700rpm and it keeps doing it ...i checked throttle body nothing there...nothing jammed stuck hasn't rained once here really...what could it be any-1 ever have problem or know answer plz...help!!!
