I am about to buy this gsr motor and he says it was rebult with o miles on it started up a couple of time but never drove and it has eagle rods and comp cppistons for low compression. Is there any way to see if its been done before I buy it . and its still in the car.

not unless you take off the head or pull the pistons

 

You could pull the oil pan off there, that would be the easiest way.

 

Is there any thing I should do when going to go look at it?

 

have him separate the head and bottom end. If there is 0 miles, you'll see shiny *** pistons with no black stuff on the dome, thats if he never fired it up. Yes, also take the oil pan off and there should probably writing of some sort, worse comes to worse, have him show you reciepts.
