its time to go to the darkside
yep, I'm saving right ($7000 to be exact). Its time for the R to get a TURBO (evil laugh), screw all this N/A stuff, N/A is just not getting enough hp for me and with austrian Type R on this board running his turbo in track situations and not having problems I'm hooked. I'll have an R that not only handles like god but also is fast as ***** in any situation (I just can't wait). I'll still have the VTEC sound but with the spooling of a turbo to accompany it and the phsss and the BOV vavle make my mouth water. I know I'll probably get flamed for this but hey it my choice. Of coarse my R motor will be fully built and hopefully (praying to god) I'll have no problems. What do you guys thinks (I already have $2500 saved and still going strong).

not 20psi ALL the time but hey I'm going the whole 9 yards with this one, different rods, pistons, retainers, iron sleeves, yada yada yada, different clutch uprade some more stuff, honda data. This may cost more than 7000g's but I'm ready Amex to the rescue. Traction I know will be a problem, but hey so is traction in a 400hp supra. I just have to learn to drive it AGAIN
Good i'm glad you're planning on spending the money necessary to do it right.
haha, have you driven a 400whp supra? I have, trust me when i say RWD+400whp+285s out back=Way way way better traction than anything an ITR could have short of drag slicks. no matter though, your ride will still ride out on some serious hardware

Yeah, it was a 25 degree hot day and I was boosting about 1 Bar for periods about 3-6 seconds on the straights 1/2 hour on a smal track. No problems and the temp gauges have shown numbers like when normal driving.
Of course, when it is 35 degrees hot it is a difference, but I doubt it will overheat when you know what you are doing. The upcomming summer is my 1st with turbo. Boosting 12psi on hot days should be good enough

ahhh, I read sarcasm in that post. You mean you think I'm gonna overheat on the track huh, talk to australian type R, and he will tell you about whipping 996's *** on track on hot days without any overheating problems. That why I getting a turbo because of his experiences

Good luck with the setup.
