Jet bandsaw
How could I make collectors using a jet HVBS-7MW bandsaw. Is there a trick to it or do I have to make some kind of jig to do so. I want to make my own collectors for turbo manifolds and have them cut consistently. Its a horizontal bandsaw by the way. Please help. Thanks.
A jig that you clamp/ bolt onto the table would work to get the perfect angle.
If it doesn't have a good size table, make one, then make the jig.
You would have to have one cut as desired first, then use it to set-up the jig.
Just get the piece to run parallel to the blade on the cut side, and affix something to the table to hold it there. Either tap the table and bolt it on, or clamp with a bessey clamp, etc. Spring clamps are not recommended for anything with vibrations, as it can disengage the clamp and cause serious injury/damage.
example: visegrips...
