possible tranny's to bolt to a6?
alright so my timing belt snapped so im replacing my old a6 with a fresher sohc zc, replacing the clutch but not the tranny, not knowing what the previous owner did or was capable of doing i dont know what tranny i have, i know the block was not stock because i have the body of a dx and the a6 block, and dx head.
so the problem is that of course i cant put the zc in without the correct clutch, i bought the 91 clutch, the spline was to small for my tranny, so we try 88, different clutch but same spline, old clutch is being taken to parts store to try to find a match, but i would like to know of all the tranny's that would bolt up to an a6, it had not looked like the wire harness was messed with at all.
need to know what tranny i may have to narrow down what clutch i need, whatever tranny i have the spline is just a hair smaller than the 88 and 91 crx clutch, not even noticable, it may be able to be pounded on but i assume you shouldnt have to pound it to go on. the cut patterns and # of splines look the same but the diamater is a hair off

bump please please help. parts dealer sead that all hondas have the same spline.
88 has a different amount of splines then the 89-91.
88-89 have a smaller clutch / pressure plate / flywheel then 90-91.

well i need to know what clutch has a larger spline diamater than the 88 and 91, neither the 88 or 91 have a large enough spline diamater for whatever tranny i have.
