okay so i have been workin on my rex for awhile but yeah finally got it finished.....i was drivin back from a test drive then all of a sudden my hood became unlatched, flew up smashed my windshield and the hood is all fucked up too, then when i got out of the car there was HELLA steam cummin out of my thermostat or else it was sumthin else down near it....does anybody know what that means???

PS. Your hood wasnt latched, and I'd assume you have a coolant leak.

 

i slammed it down pretty hard......what would be the cause of a coolant leak in the themo.???

 

My guess on the hood is that the latch may be rusty or something with the spring. Could your hood be out of alignment?

Make sure the leak is from the thermo area, if so all you can really do is tighten down the clamps, check the hose for cracks.
