timing is off hel me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes, set the motor to #1 TDC on the compression stroke (crankshaft pulley marks should line up with the timing cover mark, loosen tensioner and line up cam marks, tighten tensioner and crank car, reset TDC and check marks again.
but then the TDC dots at the top will be off. is that fine?
and when setting the block to TDC is there a difference for compression stroke and exhaust stroke when no timing belt is on?

1) put piston 1 on tdc
2) loosen up your tensioner
3) take off your timing belt
4) adjust your cam gear so they line up, to the head and each other
5) put the timing belt back on
6) tighten your tensioner
timing should be right
tdc is when the single dash on the crank shaft pulley is lined up
