Default aftermarket steering wheel, removing airbag wires???

I want to remove my stock steering wheel with airbag on my 92 civic and replace it with the NRG QR, Hub, and steering wheel of my choice. The only question i have is if i pull the stock steering wheel, do i have to remove all the wires for the airbag and cruise control or can i simply disconnect it and not have to worry about a SRS light etc???

if you'r pulling the bag there's no other option than to cheat it
pull the bulb or jump the wire (do you need a resistor?)

You'll have an SRS light no matter what you do, so man-up and pull the cluster or live with the annoying orange light staring you down forever.

You can't fool the SRS light with a paper clip MacGyver, I believe I read on here once a honda technician rigging-up an very elaborate set-up of resistors with a relay, and it worked for like 3 days, he ended-up pulling the bulb.

Just unplug the SRS plug from the back of the gauge cluster. No more SRS light.

in EGs the SRS light does not have it's own plug, and unless you got hands like a circus midget you aren't gettin to the big plug without loosening the cluster at which point why not just pull the bulb?

If you want to keep the function of your passenger airbag, you'll have to do this:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1760922

But yes, you can remove the wires. You just unscrew the clock spring (srs cable reel) and remove it.

Once you've made your spoof jumper, you can follow these instructions to get rid of the SRS light:

Yep. In the EK I didn't even look to pull the bulb, I just pulled the plug. I no longer have airbags.

if you only unplug the actual light bulb, will your passenger bag still deploy?

i know the O.P does'nt have one in his particular car, I mean in general...

If you unplug one airbag, and don't reset the SRS system, then no, the other airbag won't deploy.
