Default civic sedan wont start..

my friends dad has a 91 sedan, starts rite up in the morning, but when it sits for a a few hours it wont start back up for 15 to 30 minutes, anyone know what it could be??? he just had the dizzy and the fuel filter replaced, and said the mechanics mentioned something bout the coolant sensor, i personally think it needs to either change the fuel pump or maybe the batterys low??? please help...

Does it crank and not start or does it not crank at all? If the first is true than it might be your main relay. If the second part is true then it might be the ignition switch, battery, starter.

Most likely your main relay. Have you replaced or repaired it before?

It's really simple. If you don't know anybody who can resolder the joints for you, you can probably take it to a local electronic repair shop and they shouldn't charge you too much, maybe 5-10 bucks.

Yup. wait for the long pause and start counting. It may throw more than one code.

Edit to say that the main relay sounds likely to me as well.
