Default another brake promblem

ok well i had a leak in my front right line so i replaced it and i bleed the brakes and when the car is off the pedal is hard to push down, the second i turn it on the car the pedal decompreses almost the floor. The brakes work but they are pushed to the floor when i brake and when i pump the pedal it seems to help. I dont know what to do and its pissing me off and advice will be helpful thanks.

Ohh and the MC is fairly new there is no way its bad....

sounds like the same exact problem i had a few weeks ago by your description exactly. after replacing the lines, brake booster, and bleeding 50 billion times, i replaced the mc and it worked perfectly. do you have a new new mc or reman mc?

Did you bleed the brakes by yourself?

I just did the DA rear trailing arms on my rex last night and eventhough i had bled the lines the best I could alone, I had the exact same issue.

You may want to bleed them again to be on the safe side before speculating its your MC or something greater. Have someone pump the brake with the car on. On the third depress have them hold the peddle all the way down and then tighten the bleed valve.

Just my .02.

OH, and dont think i'm doubing your ability to bleed the lines.

Ive bled them twice now and it seems like they got worst... the MC is reman but when my car is off and i pump my lines till my pedal gets hard and i hold it and try and press more the pedal does not compress.. So i dont know what to do anymore but its really pissing me off =\ with that in mind any other suggestions?, and when i bled we would pump like 20 times and do each wheel about 3 times we went through about two fillled MCs of brake fluid.

some MC or remanufactored MC can go bad prematurely.....i would go wit another MC....but check your booster as well. but if u pump the pedal when u are braking its getting better i would suspect a Mc....areu leaking brake lfuid anywhere?

A guy at work had this same problem about 2 weeks ago. He replaced the master cylinder and the booster and still the same thing. Now I know this next part makes no sense but just for the hell of it he bled the brakes with the car running and the brakes work fine now. Just something to try.

hmmm well i had just replaced a brake hose on the left side and i have bleed it twice now, once from farthest tire to closets then the way the crx repair manual says, the pedel does not depress when i hold it down for over 30 secs so i really dont think its the MC and when i first installed the MC it worked perfect, im going to check the vacume check vavle and im going to try to bleed with the car on? theanks for the advice and help guys

hey after reading your post i just remebered something else that he did. You said the manual said to bleed from the farthest wheel away first and i know that is what you are supposed to do but he heard from a honda tech that has run into this before to try bleeding from the front left first, front right, rear left and then the rear right. Yes I know this goes against how you are supposed to do it but when you have nothing left to go on it is just something else to try.
