Default Is there an easier way to remove a nut and bolt?

For the life of me, I have been wrestling with this god forsaken header for too long now. I am trying to remove the nuts and bolts at the cat; the ones with the springs.

I've already sprayed penetrating oil and tried using one of those bolt-out kit but I am still struggling.

if you have a simpler way to remove ths crap, please let me know asap.

Thanks.

You can alway cut or grind it off and replace it with a new one. Don't forget to rub some antiseize lube on the new bolt before you tighten it up. That's exactly what i did when i installed my new edelbrock header two weeks ago.

The thought had crossed my mind. I think that may be the way to go.

I couldn't even get mine off lol.

But for some other tight bolts i use a vice-grip and hammer.

If you couldn't get it to work, I would have suggested either an axe or something that creates high decibel levels with smacked against something. lol

Glad to hear that you got it all sorted out. Great job!

anytime ur struggling with rusted bolt then u can always count on an impact wrench and these sockets i used. the sockets are made to grind away at NUTS. the only thing is that u would need new ones because they would be torn apart
