Default RSX type S basic speed tricks

This has probably been covered before, sorry to repeat. I am new to the forum. I have a 2004 RSX type S. All stock. I would like your collective opinions on the best things to start with for safe horsepower gains. Thanks in advance!

HAPPY.

It may be a beaten topic you've brought up, but it's tres useful to me as well.

i suggest going on ClubRSX.com for more information. head over to the basic perfomance forums. that will help you on where to start. but for some gains a CAI, headers, etc. you know basic bolt ons. you could try weight reduction. gut your trunk.

No offense to the new guy but man... The main reason why I rarely ever come to this site is bc I see the same questions every single day. Am I the only one who gets tired of this? I was a noob at one time as well, but personally I like to read and do research myself. Is there anything wrong with just browsing through the site and see what you find? I used to do research for about year or so befor eI even started an account. Sorry if I am being an ******* but I had to get that out.

But like others have said, I would suggest clubrsx.com. just do research, Everything is already there, you dont need to ask any questions. Happy modding man

Thanks to all for the advise, even to gm3w12, although he should remember that without new members, these sites would not last.

I never said anything about having new members... If you read my whole post, I said that I too was a noob at one time... I simply said that it doesnt hurt to just read and do research before asking questions right away.

The most common horsepower upgrades are intake, header, and exhaust.

You might also want to look into KPro ECU Management System. You will hear only good things about KPro!

The good thing about KPro is that there are preset tunings for the i/h/e combos.

Furthermore, if you purchased a bone stock RSX, you're probably still running the stock MX series tires... which completely suck. Upgrade tires and you'll be gripping corners like a train on rails.

Get a good Cold air intake. A real one , one that sticks out of the engine bay. I recommend a fujita. It's a good price. For exhaust that is totally up to you. I like a slight aggresive tone. I hate fart cans. I recommend a double loop exhaust(Greddy SP2).

I would also get a voltage stabilizer. It's a simple power adder. You have tons of choices, put in some time and do some research.

Good luck

If you don't want to answer his question, then don't answer, simple as that!

No offense, but that sounds like a clubRSX answer. Gut your trunk? This is a daily driver, and 40-50 lbs is hardly going to matter.

ok as weird as this sounds...

before anything...
invest is some good rubber...

You could get I/H/E Hondata etc etc
if you dont have anything to keep you stuck to the ground... its pointless.

I no longer have an RSX, but when I was in the community the big combo was Hondata IMG, Injen intake, Strupp race header, KPro, and then exhaust of your choice. Supposedly it would drop you into the 13.9 range.
