Default anti theft on display

My mom just bought a 07 civic sedan. She doesn't speak English very well and I don't live near her, otherwise I would look in the manual and find out for myself.

Here is my question... She is saying that when she turns off the car the CD? panel displays anti-theft. Is this normal and she shouldn't worry about it or is there something she is supposed to do to arm the anti-theft system? If so, can you please tell me what steps she needs to take to set the alarm? Thanks.

Well... if she is talking about the actual radio display then I don't know. You think she might mean that little red light on the radio that says "anti-theft"?

That's probably what it is... she did mention a flashing red light. I take it that is normal?

Yep its just a warning to thieves that if the radio is removed it won't work without the code. Hopefully the code isn't in the manual where the factory puts it.
