Default B18C5 81mm to 84mm Bore, p3f (B20B) piston wight in B18C5 block, ok ?

Hi, i have a friend that want´s to put is B18C5 with 84mm bore, more 3mm.
What pistons are the best for this transfom, p2f ( B20B ) ???

B20B pistons are taller than the B18C6 pistons, JDM 11.1 ?

Can this be done ?

Thanks in advance.

b20b pistons taller? no
b20b pistons will have a very low compression ratio.
best to get forged pistons with the proper dome.

he will also have to resleeve the block to fit pistons of that size

Well according to my engine importer, the JDM B20B's are like the USDM B20Z with the raised c/r. The USDM B20B are the low C/R engines
I say If you're gonna fork over the cash to get a B18C resleeved, light as well buy some lighter, forged custom B20 Pistons.

remember that b20z still has only like 9.6:1 CR. with a vtec head that would
be around 10.3 or so. Thats low by my standards

The USDM B20's were either 8.8 or 9.6:1 depending on the year of the motor

What about the B18C5 rods, can they be used with B20 pistons ?

Are there JDM B20 pistons to raise CR ?

Bigger injectors needed ?

Thanks,

Pinota
