Default LS/VTEC oil line question

Hey I've been noticing that everyone's LS/VTEC oil line kits all come with NPT fittings to go into the oil pressure sender location and where it attaches to the cylinder head oil supply. I'm virtually positive both these fittings should be BPST - so does this actually work for everyone or do you eventually have leakage problems?

Thanks in advance

You are correct, they are BPST from the factory. If you really want to be correct, go to Autozone and get the NPT to BSPT adapter they sell for $5 as part of a gauge adapter kit. I don't see why it wouldn't work with teflon tape and the NPT screwed in as it fits pretty well on my block, but I'm still awaiting the head so I can't give you first hand experience.
