Pinks - All Out: During thanksgiving day
I meant to ask this.
There was a 69(?) Camaro that made it to the final 4. He won that race. But was disqualified by Pinks because he won. He came in a 9.XX sec when he suppose to have a 10 sec car. I know what sand bagging is. But how did they know he was sand bagging? What if he was just a bit quicker? Worked the clutch better? He may have a "10 sec car" but did well for this run. Why is that cheating? What if he was totally honest?
If he was leading by 2 cars length, maybe he should just let off on the gas, so he can come in at 10 secs......... Now that would be cheating.
I would think drag race is all out as fast as you can.
I'm not a drag racer, but I would imagine my time would be all over the map, maybe +/- 2 secs. I didn't know there would be a margin of victory.
If you did your best, you would be called a cheater
Help me understand this rule in drag racing.

Pinks rule. Whack. Only seen the show once, when the civic with the fat driver got killed by the firebird..... over and over. But yeah they probably made up that rule for the race to keep the cars closely matched.
FYI.....when you've ran your car in the 1/4 over and over you're not just gonna run a full second faster out of the blue. your runs will be consistant within .1-2 +/-, but not full seconds
