Default 90-93 accord- F22 timing adjustments to increase power

Does anyone know anything about advancing or retarding the timing on a f22A series to gain HP? Is it harmful to the engine in anyway? Thanks!!

retard for lower Rpm power Advance for higher Rpm power
yes you can cause problems advancing. imagine a piston on it's way up and it meets a giant explosion as the crank drives it into the explosion, the piston lands which hold the rings in place absorb that force until the day they crack loose from the piston.
