You should use the parts from your kit to retrofit your non-HID JDM headlights. You have all the parts needed except for a good set of projectors, and you will need a new set of bulbs, I THINK!

they fit with no problems. JDM headlights are already a projector so you dont need to retrofit

And 9006 bulbs fit fine in the jdm non hid headlight housings. the jdm hid housings are the ones that take different bulbs, so you're all good.

Not exactly. The JDM halogen housings have projectors designed for use with halogen bulbs, not HID capsules. No, you don't "need" a retrofit, but the output and beam pattern resulting from an HID kit in the halogen housings will not be as good as that of retrofitted HID projectors. In addition, retrofitting will allow you to install projectors with a LHD beam pattern, rather than the RHD-optimised pattern of the JDM lights.

It may be "just fine" in your opinion, but compared to a true OEM HID setup, halogen projectors with drop-in HIDs produce inferior results. That's just how it is.

I have to agree with it.
"HID kit" used in halogen projectors will not give good results at all.

It's because of the glare, the beam looks "not as strong". And this glare is actually what blinds the on-coming traffic!

There is an absolute difference in using an aftermarket HID kit with the stock projectors found in our cars and retrofitting an oem HID projector. I have both, and the difference is quite signifigant.

We-Todd is down or slow at the moment, when its fixed i will provide examples of both

very true!
having an HID system that its design for RHD doesnt produce the best results on a LHD car.. Even though he might think that the beam patter is ok, you will be suprise at the results on well balance LHD set up will look compare to something that isnt design for it!

Bring back a topic a few weeks old, can you please post the pictures? I'd like to see the difference.
