Default '95 GSR running too rich

I have a 95 4-dr GSR (DB8). I purchased the car about a month ago and have been working on it ever since. The odometer is at 140K miles. It came with a DC SS 4-1 header and a GReddy SPII SS cat back. When I got the car I done a complete tune up consisting of plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor, fuel filter, oil & filter. I also emptied the cat and ran a can of sea foam through the motor. I also cleaned out the idle air control valve and tightened up the faster idle valve. I also just replaced the timing belt. All my timing marks are right, and the base idle timing it at 15 deg. I also installed a fuel pressure gauge. The car is running 40 p.s.i. at idle with the vac. line on the FPR. The engine otherwise is stock running the stock ecu.

The problem is that I'm running fat. The car smokes like hell when you roll on the throttle, especially when under VTEC. It idles fine, but smokes a little. I've had no cel's. I thought that maybe I had an injector stuck open, so I let the car idle for a while, revved it a few times, shut it down, and then pulled each plug looking for fuel saturation on the electrodes. NOTHING. All the plugs were black from carbon, but nothing wet. When I drive the car it feels strong down low but has really bad flat spots in the mid, but no top end. The entire band above 5K rmp is totally flat. The motor is also using a little oil, which is probably due to the miles and the fact that it's running so rich that it's washing the cylinders. Maybe it's a weak ignitor or distributor? I can't figure it out. I'm going to do a compression test tomorrow.

with a burnt valve you get smoke but still have compression, sound like you broke a ring or piston finally gave. they only way to lose all compression is bent valves or broken rings or cracked piston. and valves dont just bend all of a sudden unless timing belt snaps. if you broke a ring id say the walls on the cylinder are beyound running a hone and throwing in new piston/ring. probably needs bored. if your familular id rebuild your motor and order some chromolly rings from hastings, they take along time to break in but for your application it will last a little longer.
taken from G2ic.com could be your problem to?

well, I don't think that I have a burnt valve, considering the car has never had forced induction or nitrous, or anything for that matter to make it run lean enough to burn a valve. I will be doing a compression test in a few minutes. I guess that if the compression is low enough, it will be running rich, but it would be very odd to have all 4 cylinders @ low compression. Like I said before, all the plugs were uniform last time I checked them (yesterday), and also, there is nothing coming out of my crank case valve to indicate blow-by. I guess the comression test with tell all. I'm going to do a leak down as well. If it needs rebuilding, then F* it, it's getting ITR slugs.
